The FARGO HDP5000 by HID Global is a professional high-definition reverse transfer card printer/encoder, engineered to deliver superior image quality, robust security and unrivaled durability for all ID card and credential issuance needs. Leveraging HDP dye-sublimation/resin thermal transfer technology with 300 dpi resolution, it produces vibrant visuals with up to 16.7 million colors and edge-to-edge printing on CR-80 cards (30–50 mil thickness), fusing HDP Film to card surfaces to conform to smart chip ridges and indentations—ensuring crisp, photo-like quality even on tech-integrated cards.

Boasting flexible scalability, it supports optional dual-sided printing, contact/contactless smart card encoding, magnetic stripe encoding and simultaneous single/dual-sided lamination, with add-on dual card input hoppers for high-volume, multi-card type production.
